Waiver Eligibility

The International Bulletin of History and Social Science is committed to supporting researchers from diverse academic and economic backgrounds by offering fee waivers or partial discounts on Article Processing Charges (APCs). Waivers may be granted to authors who demonstrate financial constraints, particularly those affiliated with institutions in low-income or lower-middle-income countries, early-career researchers without funding, or scholars facing exceptional circumstances. Eligibility is assessed on a case-by-case basis, and authors must submit a waiver request at the time of manuscript submission, along with appropriate justification or supporting documents. Approval of waivers is at the discretion of the editorial office and does not influence the peer-review process, which remains fair, unbiased, and based solely on academic merit. The journal aims to ensure that publication opportunities remain accessible to all qualified researchers, regardless of financial limitations.
