Withdrawal Policy

The International Bulletin of History and Social Science maintains a strict withdrawal policy to ensure ethical and transparent publishing practices. Authors are allowed to request the withdrawal of their manuscript only before the peer review process begins. Once a manuscript has been sent for review, withdrawal is permitted only under exceptional circumstances, and a formal written request with a valid justification must be submitted to the editorial office. If authors withdraw a manuscript after significant editorial or review work has been completed, the journal may impose a withdrawal fee to compensate for the resources invested. Unethical withdrawal—such as submitting the same manuscript to another journal simultaneously or retracting without communication—may result in a publication ban for future submissions. The journal aims to maintain fairness, protect editorial resources, and uphold academic integrity throughout the publication process.
